6M views. Way better numbers than TLD. It seems HOUSE OF GUCCI will be bigger at the movie theaters than THE LAST DUEL

I mean… one of them stars world famous pop singer Lady Gaga.

    Oscars FYC:
"Shiva Baby" – in all categories especially Picture, Adapted Screenplay, Score
"Together" – in all categories especially Actress (Sharon Horgan), Actor (James McAvoy), Original Screenplay
"CODA" – in all categories especially Supporting Actor (Troy Kotsur)
"Everybody's Talking About Jamie" – Supporting Actor (Richard E. Grant), Supporting Actress (Sarah Lancashire)
"I'm Your Man" – International Feature
"Summer of Soul" – Documentary Feature

Exactly, if gaga stars in TLD instead of HoG, I’ll not surprise TLD can have more views than HoG, that’s unrelated to performance itself or the quality of film. Similarly, Taylor Swift’s join in Canterbury Glass (even might be a small role) was discussed everywhere, though imo she’s even not an actress, that’s just the power of Popstars

Gaga factor is undeniable but this is definitely garnering interest beyond just Gaga. Waelth porn, quotable lines, eye catchy fashion, sex in a bathtub…the movie looks fun af and stand out amid blandly formulaic trailers that only insert a joke here and there to lighten up an overly serious mood. And so far people love the accents cause they are fun.

How many Ridley Scott movies have a rotten score 🧐
It is coming for 70+ rotten score at the very least.

Reminder that Joker’s Meta was 59. So no scores are not be all and end all. And HoG has better change to be at least passable than Suicide Squad-level trash.

Joker did huge numbers at the box office. I think HOUSE OF GUCCI need box office win

Many critics had already decided to pan Joker even before they watched it. I don’t think its reviews meant anything, especially because it won Venice and made a billion dollars at the box office.

House of Gucci needs at least 70 on Metacritic and good box office to be a Best Picture nominee.

LOL Joker fans are still repeating this groundless theory?

I am not a Joker fan, I think it sucks. But the movie was a global phenomenon and most people liked it. Gotta be fair.

My point was that you said ‘critics had already decided to pan it before they saw it’ when there is literally no evidence that was the case, it’s just something fans of the movie used to try and delegitimise negative reviews.

I know it did well and people liked it.

There were countless thinkpieces before the movie came out about how it was dangerous and would encourage mass shootings, but we are digressing here so I’ll stop.

Yeah I’m not gonna go into this.
