He might be just a little too old, but Zachary Levi could be an excellent Hercules. He’s extremely likable, an excellent comedian, very handsome, in fantastic shape, and he’s got a great singing voice.

Billy Magnussen is 5 years younger than Zachary Levi… Regardless, either would be great and Levi has been the single star of a hit movie “Shazaam”, so that could help his case.

And I love that idea of Vincent Rodriguez as well.

Both would be wonderful choices for the role, but I think that they are a bit older than what Disney is looking for in Hercules. It will mostly be likely an actor in their mid-20s to early 30s.

And as much as many don’t want to admit it, I believe that Grande truly is locked to play Meg.

If this is a straight-up remake, then both Grande and Elba would be serious miscasts, IMHO.

He’s definitely too small a name, but Timothy Hughes could be an excellent Hercules. He’s Broadway actor, and while he’s not a big name there, he got excellent notices for his work in Hadestown, even though he was only an ensemble member. He’s got a lovely voice, great presence, and he’s hot. The dude’s young, absolutely shredded, and stands at an impressive 6 foot 7 inches.

Also, Bill Hader could be a great choice for Hades, and I could see Zendaya working as Megara.

With the Russos producing, I’m expecting one of the Marvel Chris’s to play Hercules (Pratt, Evans, Hemsworth). Same reason why Tom Holland might play young Herc.

Goldblum or RDJ are in the Disney family and would be good choices to play Hades.

Hoping John Mulaney and Nick Kroll are Pain & Panic.

The Muses will probably have a mix ofJennifer Hudson, Janelle Monae, Beyonce, Lizzo, Yvette Nicole Brown, Cynthia Erivo, and Alicia Keys.

Meg will be interesting because I don’t know what age they’re going for. I saw an idea that if Pratt got Herc, then Aubrey Plaza could play Meg. If they go older, I think Natalie Portman could play her well.

Elizabeth Gillies would be fantastic as Meg.

    The Muses should be:

    Amber Riley
    Janelle Monae
    Deborah Cox
    Heather Headley
    Anika Noni Rose

Denis O’Hare would be a good choice for Hades.

The Ariana casting would make sense since she covered a Meg song for that Disney TV special thing.

I would personally pick her Victorious co-star Elizabeth Gillies. I feel like she can play that role more convincingly. However I don’t think Ariana’s a bad actress (if we go by Victorious… everyone is), so I wouldn’t be mad.

    Idris Elba tho… please no.

Idk if it’s a good idea to cast an all-black muses while giving the lead roles to white people. I don’t know if it is racist, but it doesn’t feel right.

FYC: Joji – Best New Artist
Nectar – Album of The Year, Best Alternative Album
Run – ROTY, SOTY, Rock Song, Rock Performance
Gimme Love - Best Music Video

    FYC: Ariana Grande
Rain On Me: ROTY, Pop Duo/Group Performance
Imagine - SOTY, Pop Solo Performance
Nobody (w/ Chaka Khan) - Best Trad R&B Perf.

For the record, I do understand the muses were all-black in the movie.

But things change, twitter happens, and people start thinking certain ways. Do we really want to have all-white leads and cast black people as glorified background characters?

He would probably be “too TV,” but Ted Danson would make a great Hades.

Idris Elba would be a much better Zeus than Hades.

Michael B. Jordan could be a good Hercules.

The only way this would be an issue is if no people of colour got cast in other roles.

that collider casting makes no sense. I believe there were no Asian people in Greece during the time this takes place

    There were no centaurs either.

Pantheon of acting: Uta / Elizabeth / Richard / Sandy (Virginia Woolf), Bibi / Liv (Persona), Sandrine (La Ceremonie), Brie (Short Term 12), Jodie (Silence of the Lambs), Jodie (Killing Eve), Eva (Penny Dreadful), Timothée (CMBYN), Lupita (Us)

I can see this because of The Good Place.
