I would like to see some new blood hosting the Oscars next year. Personally i think Jimmy Kimmel was completely AWFUL in both years, i can’t imagine why the Academy would choose him to host two years in a row when is first year was dreadful. I think Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph would be amazing choices and i’m pretty sure they would bring the house down!!! Whoopi Goldberg would also be a good choice and she’s very good at it and would be fun to see her returning. What do you think? Who would you like to see hosting next year?

I personally thought Jimmy Kimmel was fine as a host. But I would LOVE to see Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph host. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are also on my dream list, and so are Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Jon Hamm.

I disagree with you on Jimmy , i think he was great .. he didnt reinvent the wheel but he did a good job just keeping it going with mild humor .. i do think they should cut the gags beforte they go off and cut people winning awards …

that being said i think that people who would be good at hosting are

    Tina and Amy
    Alec baldwin
    Whoppi
    Tiffany haddish
No host … i think this would be the best option … it would cut down on time and save on having to give awards out in the commericals

I’d give anything to see Whoopi return.

Haddish would be awesome but she needs to learn how to pronounce people’s names. I can’t take that anymore.

I’d love to see Hugh Jackman return. Though for first time hosts, I’d like to see Robert Downey, Jr. and/or Donald Glover take a stab at it.

I need Tina and Amy. Their 3 Golden Globe years were all better than any other host I’ve seen.

Kimmel was great as host the first time. Second time, no. He didn’t need to repeat.

Since Kevin Hart wants to do it so badly, I’d like to see what he could accomplish, or for that matter co-host with Tiffany Haddish. Tina and Amy for the upgrade! Oprah would make a fine host too.

Getting rid of the host is by far the best option. If we have to have one, I’m fine with Kimmel, he’s just kind of there which is as close as it gets to my wish of having no host. Tina and Amy would be acceptable too. Please not Haddish, I like her, but absolutely not for this. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney did a better than average job hosting the indie spirits, so I’d like to see them get a chance at a bigger show.

RuPaul and Leslie Jones were my favorite presenters at the Emmys, their reaction when Regina King won was iconic. I would either choose them or Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph.

I go along with the idea of no host. I can remember the days when the Golden Globes would have the first presenter say something like welcome to the 53rd Golden Globes, the nominees for Best Supporting Actress are…..

then at the end of the show whoever presented Best Picture would come back and say good night. (although they did have Dick Clark who was the producer standing by in case anything went wrong—-see Elizabeth Taylor presenting Best Picture to “Gladiator.”)
