    So, what’s yours expectations for tomorrow? I’m currently thinking 50-60 MC and idk about rotten.

    I watched the movie. I wasn’t strong enough to wait. So, I can’t see how it could go below 70.

    Lol, at this point if it hits the 60s we will jump of joy.

    FYC:

    "Succession" and "Severance" in all Drama categories;
    "Ted Lasso" and "The Great" in all Comedy categories;
    "Station Eleven" and "The White Lotus" in all Limited categories + Ethan Hawke for "Moon Knight".

    The movie is great. I’ll watch it again in a good quality. It’s hard to believe it’ll be in the range of 50-60. But you know, critics are crazy sometimes.

    No disrespect to her, but Grace Randolph is just making an educated guess based on her own thoughts on the film. She doesn’t know how this will be received. With critics like David Ehrlich, David Sims, Matt Lynch and Mick LaSalle on our side, there’s no way this gets below a 60% on RT.

    Sometimes Grace LOVED very bad movies and dislike masterpiece so… we’ll see. Sometimes I don’t understand her judgment.

    Unfortunately, a LOT of people can leave reviews on RT. And I can see this dipping below 60%, especially the newbie critics. They’ll usually wanna go with the bandwagon to be taken seriously and they’ll definitely give it a rotten score.

    And let’s not talk about the critics who for whatever reason, blame HoG for TLD failure. They’ll gladly give it a 2 instead of a 3.5 for example. Yes some critics are that petty. They won’t stop comparing TLD to HoG and how they hope TLD gets nominated over HoG etc..

    There’s just too many factors that are working against HoG unfortunately.

    I thought most people followed Grace because she has inside information and exclusives. Not for her taste and guesses that are usually terrible all over the place

    this. Outside her insider information and exclusives, her options on films are something I frequently disagree with. Again, I don’t think she liked GUCCI, so she’s projecting her own feelings on her RT prediction.

    The irony though if MC score ends up higher than RT lmao (usually the opposite is true). But I can see it for HoG considering Film Twitter has more impact on RT than MC.

    Everything will be fine. I watched a lot of the reactions of the SAG / WGA / AMPAS members and they all loved the movie. And Gaga with Leto. Spit on critics!)

    still thinking of the movie lol its weird that its so long yet it feels like its rushing the story there’s no way of knowing that it goes through 3 decades, it looks like, maybe a year

    I had the same feeling. Those critics saying it could be 30 minutes shorter are crazy. It’s a fast paced movie. It needed to be that long.

    He’s definitely gonna give it 90+…

    But there’s a lot of critics we haven’t heard from at all, particularly Chang of L.A Times… He didn’t even like any tweets praising or criticizing HoG…

    (edit: ok I checked again and he did retweet some HoG memes that’s it)

    I can’t wrap my head around these reactions. “Real” critics love it beyond belief, twitter/social media critics want it buried under a pile of liquid concrete.

    WHAT THE HECK.
