Don’t know where he’s getting his info, but $21m would be amazing. At $21m, that’s keeping up with other r-rated Thanksgiving movies despite being post COVID.

That would be great. $21M over five days would be $12.6M in a regular three day weekend.

Nice! That’s on the high end of what Box Office Pro is projecting, which I think is good news for its longterm gross. Do you know how projections work? Is it just based on pre sales?

Pre sales and insider industry expectations. MGM is pushing this hard, so I won’t be shocked if this can pull in those kind of numbers.

Presales, yes. People on BoxOfficeTheory were saying that HOG’s presales were performing a bit behind Hustlers’ which debuted with 33.2m OW. I mean, presales for original adult dramas don’t matter the way they do with IPs with huge built-in fanbases, so maybe the movie could do more, when it actually gets released on Thanksgiving

Thanks for the info, you all.

    This is interesting to me:

    Encanto (3-day original prediction): 20-35M

    Encanto (5 day): 32M

HOG (3 day original prediction): 8-13M

    HOG  (5 day): 21M

So HOG is seemingly going to over-perform while Encanto is doing pretty much what is expected.

I don’t know if there are a lot of LM ‘s that hang out in here but please do not waste your time attacking this guy on twitter @AdangerC. He just tweeted about how much he didn’t like it. He’s part of the squad of people that hate the movie and is just not worth going head to head with. He’s a nobody and his opinion means nothing. Also has been shitting on Gucci this whole time.

You do realise highlighting every negative reception of this movie gives the critic the attention they want?

I haven’t even really given any attention to this. That’s why I purposefully did not embed the tweet. I am trying to actively divert people from saying anything to critics. I haven’t even really posted negative reactions?? I have tried to highlight that there is a group of people who all have the same reactions and are all in the same circle. The last thing I want is anymore bullshit drama between stans and critics.

You literally quoted their Twitter handle so obviously people will check out their views despite you asking them not to, which is suspicious in itself. Maybe not acknowledging them would be better?

He has been constantly doing it since the beginning it’s ridiculous. Seriously nobody knows these people. Literally disturbing.

And we’ve called it out here they go back at it again. Everytime the movie is abt to succeed he just drags it down.

obviously he has a right to dislike the movie but why does every negative review read the exact same?

Well, most of them are all part of the same “crowd” on Twitter. It’s group think.

Anyways, his bio says “Tomatometer-Approved Critic”.

I did this so people would know about this before they went to search the tag on twitter, and I know this person has been shitting on this movie and Gaga/Leto for months, so I thought that it would be useful to say that he was probably never going to like the movie and that he is in the circle of others who really didn’t like the movie.

Not sure what’s suspicious. I was genuine in hoping that this would deter people from saying anything. They can look and read the tweet all they want. Just don’t interact with anyone. I hardly ever want to acknowledge negative reviews, and I stalk the tag so I do see them, but this guy is someone who instigates arguments and is kind of a dick, so once again I thought warning people would be nice and then they would avoid engaging.

I don’t know how else to express that my intentions were pure. Enough GD for me today.

    LOL.
