It’ll go down by 5-10% tomorrow I think, then by 40-50% on Sunday.

Looks like my predictions were pretty good!

‘Encanto’ & ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Split Families, ‘House Of Gucci’ Best Opening For Drama In Two Years – Thanksgiving Box Office, Sunday Update

“Meanwhile, despite headlines about the Omicron virus, adults finally found their way to the cinema with United Artists Releasing-MGM’s House of Gucci building the best opening for a drama in the last two years at the box office with $14.2M over 3-days and $21.8M over 5, the last being Sony’s Little Women over Christmas 2019 ($16.7M 3-day, $29.2M 5-day).”

We received 3 freshs today, including a 4/5 from a top critic, but the score didn’t move.

Congrats to Gaga. I would love to see what kind of offers she’s getting now.

And if it got even one rotten review it would go down a point. I’m literally going to disregard RT scores as a whole after seeing how illegitimate it has been for Gucci. Verified audience score is still reliable, but the critic scores ain’t adding up. Is there any explanation for this? I guess the whole top critic weighs more is the explanation?

I think all critics weigh the same. I counted 119 fresh reviews among 193. 61%.

There’s no mistery about the RT critics score. It’s a simple percentage you can calculate with a simple rule of three. Out of the 196 reviews added so far, 121 are fresh. That represents a 61.7%. They round up the numbers once it hits -.5. Now,  if it hits 62.5%, its score will rise to 63, if it falls below 61.5% its score will go back to 61. That’s how the whole thing works, top critics or not.

I know i might be delusional, but I’m hoping that the critics who haven’t reviewed it on RT feel the wave of audience approval, high box office numbers (especially for a drama – a rare feat) and get behind the movie. Ironically they might look for the positives in the movie now, rather than trashing it like their earlier colleagues.

Joker has 450 reviews. There are still many to go.

The audiences have spoken. RT is not gonna matter as much now. The scores were decent enough to not impede a strong opening. And I think mission accomplished on that one.

Darlings, Your Prime Minister really enjoyed this movie. I really do not get why some critics are trashing this when we have at least 5 movies nominated every year which are worse than this one. This is by no means a bad movie (despite Bald Luigi’s unclassy, grotesque and offensive performance). Cheap Madonna was terrific if you ask me.

As a famous singer said, "ain't nobody gonna Thatcher, Thatcher, Thatcher!"
