If it gets to 61 and turns green I’m going to shit myself
November 24, 2021 at 12:59 pm #1204604048It’s at 60 on MC and about to hit 50 reviews.
Approaching 150 reviews on RT already. It’s fluctuating between 63-65% with an average score of 6.1/10. Truly this year’s VICE/JOKER.

Some possible spoilers ahead. Overall, it was a fun time in the theater and it was decently packed for a Tuesday night. Lady Gaga is extraordinary in this film, she is the true star here. Her facial expressions tell such a story without saying a word. Her line readings absolutely make the film as indicated by the trailer but her dagger like eyes are perfect towards the middle to end of the film. She executed Patricia’s arch perfectly from a largely loving and sweet girl to a mad, murdering ex-wife. Out of the supporting actors, Al Pacino was my favorite. I thought what he was doing was really interesting, he made a character that was powre hungry but also a wholesome old man. Jared Leto was a fine time, overall. He could definitely get annoying and sometimes does feel like he’s in a different film (as critics have said) but I feel overall it works. Everyone in the film makes fun of his character so it’s not too out of bounds. I think there could have been better pacing, there were a few scenes that didn’t really add much to the story for me. But at the same time, when it ended I was surprised because I thought there was going to be a little bit more but it just went from Patricia getting into the house and then standing trail. So, I would have liked a little more there. I also would have liked to know more about Pina (Salma Hayek’s character). I feel like she was one of the most interesting and we barely spend anytime with her. Overall, a fun film, that has a few problems, but also some really fantastic performances too. Also, the music choices were perfect!
November 24, 2021 at 1:13 pm #1204604086Honey, I don’t need to read the story or watch her interviews. I saw the performance. It was Lady Gaga the entire time. She did way better in ASIB. This was closer to AHS Hotel. We can both agree that Chastain and Gaga were the best things in their mediocre films and just move on.
If that was Lady Gaga the entire time then you have a very questionable idea of who Lady Gaga is, on and off stage, which sinks your biased opinion even lower. That’s all I’m gonna say.
November 24, 2021 at 1:15 pm #1204604088Do you remember any review for joker or vice being as vicious as the Gucci ones? I don’t

I remember way worse for Joker. For some very weird reason, some critics though Joker was about Trump and His Voters and totally destroyed the movie
November 24, 2021 at 1:27 pm #1204604106And I’m sure you know her inside and out because you’re a fan right? The monsters claim to think they know Lady Gaga even when she doesn’t know any you guys or that you even exist. Just because you guys watch her videos and documentaries a thousand times doesn’t make you any closer to her lol. I’m basing it off of what I’ve seen of her overall, and it never waged that I was watching an actor completely lose themself. It was always Gaga playing a character.
ASIB – she’s playing herself
Gucci – she’s playing herself

November 24, 2021 at 1:52 pm #1204604187Get that Chastain stan out of her. Literally stupid.
Anyway, great $1.3M numbers for House of Gucci. Already half of Eyes of Tammy Faye’s total gross.
November 24, 2021 at 2:08 pm #1204604219Rolling Stone gave it a glowing review and they haven’t been added to MC yet. Depending on how they’re weighted, maybe a 61?
November 24, 2021 at 2:19 pm #1204604238ASIB – she’s playing herself
Gucci – she’s playing herselfAHS Hotel – she’s playing herself
Yet these 3 roles would be miles apart from eachother for any other actress so people talking like that are really just admitting Gaga has a wide range of roles that can feel natural to her.
