AMPAS would be stupid to not give this at least Makeup, Costume, Supporting Actor (Pacino), and Actress nominations. If they stick their noses up at the only drama audiences have gone to see in a major way since December 2019 they maybe deserve to bomb in ratings.

Exactly Babylonian! And those nominations would absolutely be deserved!

One of the arguments for the expanded Best Picture category was to include more populist choices, maybe HOG will benefit. It sucks that critics really went hard on it at first. I noticed that after the first weekend numbers came in the newer Rotten Tomatoes reviews became more positive. It’s just not smart to bag on the only Oscar contender that is connecting.

I must see this film again before Christmas. I’ve been thinking about how underrated the scene where Patrizia discovered that her domestic aid owned a Gucci bag is. The woman even had the guts to tell it to the face of her boss that the bag is just like hers (Patrizia’s). I miss that moment
