    ridley is British

I know but didn’t know it was enough the director being British for a movie to fit this category, I just checked on wikipedia, I thought majority of the cast, production, ecc was supposed to be British as well.

So BAFTAs chances should be higher for Gaga? Since majority think she will miss this?

You never know with the jury thing and she did miss the London critics.
Last year Promising Young Woman won British Film + Screenplay and yet Mulligan missed.

I think Ridley entire team is British too, so that must help

But honestly don’t think they will care for this movie at all

Gaga has been to Britain once or twice so she’s practically British.

God, I hope the domestic box office can power past $50M. All these new releases hurt HOG.

They really killed it for Spider-Man, Matrix, Sing 2 etc. It lost more than 2k locations in one weekend.

I still think 50M is on the table, but it’s gonna be a hurdle.

These studios were dumb to put all of these movies out Christmas week. January is so empty, and all of these movies that weren’t Spider-Man cannibalized each other.

Yes, and they took HoG along them, but still, almost 1M in our 5th week can’t be bad.
I did however was shock at how Spider-Man killed it WW.

The reason why HOG lost so many locations is Licorice Pizza. MGM is the one to blame. A bad move in my opinion because Licorice will flop.

    Are Q&As screenings still happening?

    MGM has been so dumb.

They were actually great with HoG rollout and assured the industry screenings happened early on, besides hiring a good marketing company for the film who’s doing everything.
But with Licorice Pizza I assume they wanted the last date possible so the film has a later break in the season and not be forgotten early. However with Spidey killing every film in sight this one might be dead quick in the theaters.

Anyone knows why international numbers aren’t updating? $64,167,000 is from a week ago.

This dumpster fire is losing money? Thank God.

HOG probably outperformed all your 15 best picture list combined.
