Up to 63% on RT.
Let’s hope the tide turns and the remaining reviews are positive . I have hope the box office makes a difference to how it is received by critics who have yet to chime in.is 65-68% totally unrealistic?

Honestly I don’t think that at this point some points more matters or not, it’s stayed fresh so it’s fine, at the end it’s not that voters stay doing math with metascore or rotten numbers like people in these forums think for voting something they like. The Box office and audience reception are compensating by a lot the fact this movie is not critically acclaimed and this being the best Adult drama of the last 2 years is making noise.

December 2, 2021 at 8:37 pm #1204621988Some critics awards tend to rewards actresses who won’t win/get nominated. Last year, the NYFCC, one of the most important critics associations gave it to Sidney Flanigan. I still think the names are Nicole, Gaga, Kristen, Olivia, and I can’t decide the last one. But for me, neither Rachel nor Alana will make it.
Yes you’re right, but it’s still not bad to win a few critics awards. For A Star Is Born, the people on this forum swore with their lives that Gaga wouldn’t win critics awards even though critics were praising her, but she still managed to win a few

December 2, 2021 at 8:38 pm #1204621996not Alana.. And Rachel certainly isn’t a given either. NBR likes to be controversial
Well, they are both in major movies that were initially released very late, unlike Flanagan, who was in a small indie which had played the festival circuit, so while I agree that NBR fairly often awards lesser known performances in small indie films that were initially exhibited at festivals, neither Alana Haim’s nor Rachel Zegler’s performances fit into that pattern. I’m not at all confident that either one will receive a nomination, but I think both have a significantly better chance at getting one than Flanagan had after winning NBR last year.
Correction- As Lil Tony points out below, Flanagan won NYFCC, not NBR last year.

Last year’s NBR winner was actually Carey Mulligan though

Oops. My bad. Sorry. Flanagan won NYFCC last year, not NBR, but both NBR and NYFCC have a tendency to award performances in lesser known indies.

Maybe she can win some with HOG too. The NY or LA would be a dream, but thart’s very unlikely.

No gaga here. Nicole, Kristen and Jessica are starting to look like locks. I think Alana might get in too. The last spot might be a fight between Gaga, Olivia, Penelope, Hudson and ZeglerDecember 3, 2021 at 9:52 am #1204623318Well she won

December 3, 2021 at 10:06 am #1204623420Gaga is not going to have to fight anyone to get that Oscar nom. She is too big of a star, has too much charisma, and does too good of a job in Gucci for her to miss out.

There is no way, NO WAY, that Gaga gave a better performance than Haim, Colman, Reinsve, Cruz, Comer, K-Stew, Chastain, etc. https://t.co/oCA3hn42VO

The joblessness of it all 😭
Kind of a f u to Twitter critics who keep on trashing should be successful films and a reminder to not pay too much attention to them.
They’re again completely different from real industry critics.
