How bad are the Oscar clips?

    Not sure why this is in this thread, but yeah I agree they took a risk and it paid off. An even better risk would’ve been promoting both Colman and Stone as lead, and then Weisz would’ve had a better shot at winning.

    I know this is off thread, but wouldn’t that have given Weisz a better chance at the cost of Colman’s? Weisz and Stone both had oscars before the ceremony. Now they all do.

    On thread, I was surprised they used clips for all the actors. In the past, I felt like they stopped halfway through to save time. The only clip I thought was egregiously bad was Malek’s. The others varied in quality. I’m glad they were there regardless. Though, I do wish they wouldn’t do any in the in memoriam section. Only about a third get clips, and it feels like they’re still valuing some over others.

    No because Colman would’ve easily won over Stone with no risk of vote-splitting. That’s if Stone would’ve even been nominated in lead.
