I think Lady Bird, The Post, Shape of water and Call me by your name are safe bets.
Three billboards, get out and Dunkirk are almost sure bets also but not that sure. (according to me)

That’s 7 that I think are sure or almost sure things.

Then we have Mudbound, Darkest Hour, Florida Project, Phantom Thread, The Big Sick, Disaster Artist and I even dare to say Wonder Woman fighting for those remaining spots. But honestly I don’t see any of those movies getting nominated except Mudbound probably.

I think this year we’ll have 8 best picture nominees

Definetly not 10. Seems like real big support stops at 7 and then it’s Phantom Thread, Mudbound and Florida Project waiting for that 8th spot, which I’m predicting for Phantom Thread. And some people include The Big Sick but I don’t see that happening at all.

7 or 8 seems the most likely.

I think that 8 is the minimum:
    Call Me By Your Name
    Dunkirk
    Get Out
    Lady Bird
    The Florida Project
    The Post
    The Shape of Water
    Three Billboards

And if we get 9/10, it’ll be out of these films:
    Darkest Hour
    The Big Sick
    Mudbound
    Phantom Thread

    The Post

    Three Billboards

    Call Me By Your Name

    Lady Bird

    Shape of Water

    Get Out

    Dunkirk

You guys Phantom Thread is not getting nominated for best picture. Academy members will have  a different opinion than film twitter and some critics.

7 or 8 seems the most likely.

Right now, I see it running something like this (in alphabetical order):

    THE SEVEN:
    Call Me by Your Name
    Darkest Hour
    Dunkirk
    Lady Bird
    The Post
    The Shape of Water
    Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

    THE NEXT THREE:
    The Florida Project
    Get Out
    Mudbound

(You can switch around Get Out and Darkest Hour with each other, to fit whatever awards season narrative you prefer.)

I think these six are for sure getting nominated: Dunkirk, Get Out, Lady Bird, The Post, The Shape of Water, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Then these two are possible nominees but could be snubbed: Call Me By Your Name and The Florida Project

Fighting for the 9th spot is: Darkest Hour, The Disaster Artist, and Phantom Thread,

    At least 7 (alphabetical order)
    Call Me By Your Name
    Dunkirk
    Lady Bird
    The Florida Project
    The Post
    The Shape of Water
    Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Then I think it will be 8, maybe 9 (probably not 10)
    Get Out
    Mudbound

    Fighting for 10th slot
Phantom Thread/All the Money in the World/Darkest Hour/I, Tonya/The Disaster Artist, etc.

Get Out is a top five contender.

    Darkest Hour before Get Out?

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Actually monitoring the reception for Darkest Hour has definitely caused me to drop it from the top 7. Still not convinced that Get Out is the Super Contender everyone thinks it is. Everything being different solely because of the “NEW MEMBERSHIP!!!!111” is unconvincing.
