The above are the only two categories where my personal winner was even nominated

    3. Melissa McCarthy
    4. Olivia Colman (might be my winner if she was in supporting where she belongs)
    5. Lady Gaga
    6. Regina King
    7. Emma Stone (She’s very good but in the wrong category)
    8. Rachel Weisz

I liked all of the above and either support or am ok with their nominations
The below, I have no idea what anyone who voted for them was thinking

    17. Sam Rockwell
    18. Amy Adams

    Haven’t seen Dafoe or Malek

I am just now realizing there is only one (maybe two) nominated performance that is worthy of the nomination… boy, what a disappointing season.

we get it, you’re highbrow omg

Your annoyance only encourages me to seek out the most obscure, eclectic work out there, come here to rave about it, then deride you for not ever hearing about it. You’re all scum for enjoying the films I loathe. Simply put: yes, I am better than you.

In all seriousness, though, I am not sorry that my tastes do not line up with the Academy’s. It is not as if I am the only “highbrow” member here, but I am aware that I may be more blunt when it comes to expressing those opinions, which I am also not sorry for. Someone needs to add some flavor to the melting pot of tastes in these forums. I’m not sure why you would want me to be quiet about something like that, especially when I was not harming anyone.

You are the definition of a snob cinephile but I see it as a good thing. Your opinion is the most unbiased and valid on these forums. Keep doing your thing FairWeatherAffair. Now, unrelated, are you American? Cause I always assumed you were French but I saw a post saying the opposite.
