    Why are the Oscars trying to make something as pandering as Best Achievement in Popular Film, when voice acting is something that actually deserves attention? If they created this category since Little Mermaid, these are who I imagine would win in these categories.

    I appreciate the idea, and there’s certainly some voice over performances that are worthy, but I feel like there’s not enough consistently Oscar worthy voice acting each year to really justify this category. Maybe if actor and actress were combined that wouldn’t be as big a deal.
