If Into the Woods was this year and not The Post, I think she might’ve been snubbed, but they wouldn’t dare to snub her for the politically relevant picture The Post.

It’s official: she’s the… and will be nominated by Academy till she drops dead. And even then I am already expecting posthumous nod.

Let me correct you. i think you meant Posthumous Win..

3 more nominations until she has as many as Katherine Hepburn and Jack Nicholson (who are tied for second most nominations) combined!

No, they have 12 each equalling 24. Streep needs three more.

I’m glad she got in. She seemed to be answering some of her recent criticisms in this role. She wasn’t as big in this role which some people (not me) have accused her of being in things like August Osage County and the Iron Lady plus she worked with a major director which was another thing she has been ripped apart about.

Meryl Streep deserved her nomination today she was by far the best part of The Post.

I loved her performance and predicted she would get her 21st nomination in 40 years. 17 Best Actress nominations and 4 Supporting Actress nominations. She was superb in The Post and would be a worthy winner. She won’t win though.

Meryl Streep will be nominated for every single movie she does that is not panned by critics until the end of time. She could sit at home from August to March and never leave her house, and she will still be nominated.

She deserved this nod more than she did for Into the Woods or Florence Foster Jenkins though.
