    Of course not. The reason is: what cinemas mainly sell are not movies, is simply to “go out”, to get distracted from daily life.

    Most people are not like us who want to appreciate a movie for its aesthetic or artistic achievements; there’s a great deal of people who still go to the movies without knowing what they’ll watch.

    Those are the ones who are not risking for something they don’t even need. This is the reason why art films have almost the same number of spectators right now, or even higher in some cases.

    The question should be: will this change things? The answer is definitely. But I think more related with the exhibitors, not the audience.
