For this film? I have to laugh. Let’s hope he doesn’t suddenly become the highest paid actor of the next year or so for that atrocious Oscar win. At least Stone & Lawrence are gorgeous and sell.

So I love Stone and Lawrence and don’t really care for Malek’s performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, but that movie made $900M. To say he didn’t “sell” is a mistake. If people didn’t find his performance compelling the word of mouth would not have been so strong.

I would like to reiterate that I really disliked Bohemian Rhapsody, but I’m not going to penalize Malek because people saw something in his performance that I didn’t. I look forward to seeing more from him and I think he’s going to make an excellent Bond villain.

He definately can bring the creepy Bond villain vibe. I can see it happening.

I thought Javier Bardem deserved a nomination for Skyfall and he didn’t make the cut, so I would guess Malek will be out too.

I might be one of only a few, but I LOVE the film’s title. Reminds me of previous Bond films. The title alone makes me excited for the original song.

I’m not sure if Bardem would’ve made my top 5, but he was very deserving that year. Judi Dench also definitely should’ve been nominated.

Sweetie, no one watched Bohemian Tragedy because Malek was in it. It was all Queen fans and nostalgia.

That may be true, but now that he starred in such a financially successful film, and managed to win an Oscar, he very likely has the star power to sell tickets now.

She deserves better. Why is Billy Magnussen everywhere? He’s talentless, probably gets all these parts cause he’s attractive and has a good agent.

I’m not exactly a huge fan of Billy Magnussen, but I like him enough. Also, I didn’t see it, but I heard very positive things about his work in Vanya and Sonia and Marsha and Spike (he got a tony nomination for it).

That “eyebrow” thing with Bardem ruled him out.

Hans Zimmer has been brought in as an emergency last-minute replacement for Dan Romer to score the picture. Romer parted ways with the production over “creative differences” — that old standby for “we hated each other”.

This short time frame to score a major film is nuts.
