This is probably going to help Billie a LOT in the Oscar race.

    They want them Oscars uh.

I don’t currently expect them to break through, but this could be a strong sign of high quality. Then again, Mockingjay showed that not every blockbuster that gets a November release is necessarily good.

I really think this is about money, not awards. China is a huge market for films like this and with other big foreign markets feeling COVID-19 panic more and more, they would potentially put hundreds of millions of dollars at risk by opening in a depressed market.

It’s almost 100% about the money. I’m sure production costs was high on this film and the marketing along had to be substantial. I literally see ads for this film EVERYWHERE.

Officially pushed back to April 2 2021.

The only big movies left that are still scheduled to hit cinemas this year are Soul (which is most likely getting put onto Disney Plus), Dune and Wonder Woman. RIP cinema.

Oop I forgot about them. They’re both probably getting pushed back anyway.

One of them is, probably Wonder Woman since it’s a guaranteed money maker & WB would just want to cut their loses with Dune.

Would they push the eligibility date from Feb 28 to the end of March/start of April to let this film and others qualify?

Surely, the telecast wants Billie Eilish to perform? She’s the closest thing a ratings draw in what could be a dry year.

Plus, Bond even put out a music video for her on Thursday.

Probably not. NTTD will be old news by then. Which is unfortunate considering how easy it would’ve been for Billie to win this season.
