Very unlikely that they would cast someone as popular as Gaga in a supporting role. Obviously, they’re not going to demote Phoenix to supporting, so I think they’re going to share the lead (co-leads). If the film’s title is of any indication, my opinion must be right. Folie à deux is a medical term for shared delusional disorder (SDD). Literal translation would be madness of two. A syndrome in which symptoms of a delusional belief, and sometimes hallucinations, are transmitted from one individual to another. So it would make sense for the film to be about their relationship and not about them separately.
I agree. I can see parts of the film involving one or the other at times, but the overall plot is going to be them together.

They might not do 20 straight days of shooting, but this and next week then stop for christmas or smth. Should be enough time to film all non-Gaga scenes and then do the remaining scenes with her as production resumes next year.
I think that the title of the movie alone suggests that there’s no way Gaga is less than co-lead (for awards maybe they fraud her in supporting tho).
They probably are filming his alone scenes because the movie is still named after him and there’s no way it will start right with Gaga’s character.Also, the movie will shoot all the way through April right? So from January to April filming will be a lot of time for Gaga.

Wait, how are you jumping to that conclusion? There are going to be scenes with Joaquin alone and scenes with Gaga alone where the other is not needed. Not to mention, 20 days at the beginning doesn’t mean much? They could be shooting stuff that doesn’t need either of them or only one of them.
I don’t think Gaga is being paid $10m to have a small or even medium-sized role.

Doubt they’re gonna film much these days with Holidays starting next week and they basically started yesterday when this was already supposed to start filming 2 weeks ago basically, it’s obvious they’re doing some minor scenes, the majority of movie will be filmed next year without holidays in the middle.

No way they would have made Gaga released the first teaser in August with written Phoenix Gaga if she was just a supporting role, the title says clearly ‘Madness in two’ in French, Gaga won’t be supporting, she has established herself has leading actress with AHS, ASIB and HOG, she obviously can’t be in every frame of the movie.
Why do they lend themselves to giving these type of false news.🤦♀️

Nbd that Gaga doesn’t start till January. Could be shooting in chronological order and they can only do so much anyways with the Holidays right around the corner.
