Has anyone read about this? The Page Six article is concerning. I hope he’s ok. From Page Six: The Post has confirmed from multiple sources that Heir was by Kaluuya’s side as he filmed “Nope,” his second horror movie with director Jordan Peele after 2017’s “Get Out,” in California last summer. Last month, Matt Belloni of Puck News reported: “Holiness’ behavior during the filming of Jordan Peele’s ‘Nope,’ in which Kaluuya stars, caused people on set to be concerned about her influence over the British actor.” “People on the ‘Nope’ set were very concerned that Heir had ‘taken over’ DK’s life and all decisions had to go through her,” said an industry insider. “I’ve heard there were multiple blow-ups and the production people were afraid of her.” Puck also reported that Kaluuya, 33, had fired his powerful talent agents at CAA, which reps such A-listers as Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Reese Witherspoon. He signed with the agency in 2018 shortly after filming “Get Out.” A CAA spokesperson told The Post: “I can confirm that Daniel Kaluuya is not a client of the agency.” One source who knows Kaluuya well told The Post that the star had also sacked his stylist and multiple assistants at the behest of Heir Holiness. https://pagesix.com/2022/03/05/what-is-daniel-kaluuyas-tie-to-life-strategist-heir-holiness/?utm_campaign=SocialFlow&utm_medium=SocialFlow&utm_source=P6Twitter

Insiders told Page Six earlier this month that they were concerned about Heir Holiness’s alleged influence over Kaluuya after the actor parted ways with his reps, assistants and stylists. They also claimed that that she caused issues on the set of his upcoming new movie, director Jordan Peele’s “NOPE.”

She posted a photo of Kaluuya at the BAFTAs recently, calling him “My Young King.”

    from worldofreel.com:

The most anticipated big studio movie of the summer is without a doubt Jordan Peele’s “Nope.” A screening occurred last night, here’s a reaction:

“This is a bigger budget popcorn version of Signs with sprinkles of Twister and an emphasis on chasing UFOs. Popcorn fun. There are no big allegories. Maybe you can read into the themes of how you can avoid UFO death? The trailer is misleading and it is not a riff on the Twilight Zone episode (“Maple Street”) everyone was speculating about. The cast of characters are mostly Hollywood horse wranglers at a ranch. it’s a very contained piece of filmmaking from Peele. The cut we saw felt very unfinished for a July release (VFX-wise)”

I’ll admit it, this feels kind of disappointing.

Yes, the latest Peele joint is a UFO movie. I thought it’d be too obvious for him to make something as routine as what the above individual describes. Again, this is just one person’s opinion and the film is lensed by Hoyt Van Hoytema, so the visuals will, at the very least, surely deliver. I’m also expecting some of Peele’s beautiful close-up shots to appear here as well.

Saw a trailer for this in the cinema today…have to say it was effective in the beginning I thought it was an upbeat advert for a phone company or something before the tone changed…

Saw a trailer as well. I feel compelled to watch and support this movie for several reasons. Hope it at least shows up for visual effects, and maybe more.

The final trailer released today makes it seem more like an action movie. Interesting.

Barbie has also not appeared in any of the trailers so her character is still up in the air.

Intriguing trailer. Not sure where he’s going with this, but trust Peel not to disappoint.

So its an alien action movie. Interesting.

I see why the test screening reactions were mentioning Signs.
