It’s gonna be a hit… with audiences, but I’m afraid the magic won’t operate with the awards..which I’m here for.

It could be an awards darling. It depends on the golden globes. If the globes didnt nominate get out, I dont think it would make it at the oscars.

The problem with Us will be its early release. Get Out has a big buzz, and people (outside from here) really pushed, plus its cultural relevancy. Us is like just a movie to see and nothing more about it… It’s certainly gonna make big money ( I hope so) but there are still 9 months to come before awards season… That generic movie won’t/can’t keep the iron hot that long.

This is the last thing im gonna say on this. There are gonna be people(Outside of this site) that is gonna love this movie, and there is people that are gonna hate this movie. It depends on where the members of the academy fall towards. anything is possible. It centrally helps the fact that peele won an oscar(it at least cant be a negative)

So, irrelevant, but I really wanna see this, and I was planning to watch it tomorrow night, but none of my friends are remotely interested in seeing it. Is it embarrassing to go in the cinema and watch it on my own? lmao

Absolutely not. It’s fine to go by yourself

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

Honey, going to the movies alone is something everyone should do, it´s more intimate and personally I feel more comfortable.

Nah, I watched TF and ASIB by myself (well technically I sat next to a drunk woman during the latter) and it was great. Unless you go to the Fifty Shades remake by yourself, you should be fine.

“No user starts this shady” - someone culturally relevant.

This is making a crapload of money so I think SAG ensemble and Lupita are pretty safe at SAG

“Get out” got A- on CinemaScore

    “Us” only got B

As I said yesterday, the reviews are gonna be divisive. I personally dislike it because of the obvious flaws of the plot.

Lol you can’t blame audience for missing the messages of the film. Admit it! The film itself has problems.

Was A Quiet Place divisive? That got a B+.

I can blame the audience who did not pay attention.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor
