ReplyCopy URLNovember 14, 2016 at 7:45 pm #1201950809Man, this is sad news to hear, especially in light of how badly De Niro needed a comeback following Dirty Grandpa, which is one of the absolute worst movies I have ever seen, no exaggeration!
ReplyCopy URLNovember 14, 2016 at 10:58 pm #1201950906I doubt this or Dirty Grandpa gets him a razzie. DG was hardly a good movie but De Niro was trying. The comedian has negative reviews but critics said his performance was good. I think he could still get a globe nod. I mean they nominated Annie for christ sake.

Oh please, Dirty Grandpa is EXACTLY the kind of movie the Razzies love to nominate. And De Niro didn’t even try at all; he clearly did Dirty Grandpa solely for the money. Everyone in that cast did it for the money.

He did it for the money obviously but he definitely wasn’t sleepwalking through it. The movie wasn’t good at all but he elevated the material. It wasn’t a bad performance imo.

It was no worse than one of his comedic roles like Meet The Parents. De Niro played the part exactly the way it needed to be played. There was nothing great about his performance, but nothing paticularly bad either. If anything it was Jason Mantzoukas who deserves a razzie.
