Ok, y’all gonna torch me for this, but I thought we all could laugh at our own expense…
TARGET DEMOGRAPHICS FOR EACH CONTENDER
ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD: “The White Establishment”, upper-class, Brad Pitt fangirls, conservatives, give no Fs about political correctness, had a problem with last 30 mins of Parasite.
PARASITE: Young, POC, LGBTs, women, novelists, liberals, strong dislike for OUATIH.
THE IRISHMAN: Boomers, film aficionados, Catholics
JOKER: ADHDs, alcoholics/pot-users, incels, gamers, scientists, vastly male
Couldn’t think of any for 1917, any ideas?

Nah. There’s some POC there, but they aren’t the focus.

No there’s an Indian actor and a black actor in the movie to correctly show that there were POC in the British military in both world wars which Dunkirk was criticised for not doing.

This is incorrect. I know plenty of white guys who loved this film. It seems to be the most transcendental in its reception from audiences.

Yes, parasite does have a wide appeal. But don’t think he is incorrect though. Seeems to be the groups he listed definitely pefer parasite over the other 3. Parasite even won best picture from some women and lgtbq critics groups (over actual female led and lgtbq films).

Actually what I find ironic is that war vets are probably the least to watch 1917 b/c of PTSD issues.
Brits for sure would love 1917 but that’s all I got. LOL

Exactly as you said, the list isn’t just limited to these ppl. Of course, I know Parasite is wildly popular with a lot of white ppl. But you ask a group of Koreans which film they’d root for it’s going to be “Parasite” by a far margin compared to a group of random white folks, that’s for sure.
