The trailer was fantastic! So glad I called Will’s win early on.October 27, 2021 at 1:10 pm #1204543385
I think this is the 3rd Film Festival Audience Award it has won.
It won the Audience Award at the Chicago Film Festival beating Belfast, among others. I really think this could be another Green Book situation — but even better critically, and with awards in the running to win Actor, Supporting Actress and Song.October 27, 2021 at 1:35 pm #1204543418
I’m quite surprised but happy about the festival success this film is having. This film will be competitive for many Oscars it seems.October 27, 2021 at 1:58 pm #1204543454

Actors frequently win for movies that are just ok, so long as they’re good in it. I’m very skeptical that this wins BP or anything but Smith is very much in the BA drivers seat.October 27, 2021 at 11:44 pm #1204544113

Only a racist would say this. Yes, he deserved to be out that year, but did you forget that was the year Idris and David were both snubbed with performances that down-right should have won? Not even nominations.October 27, 2021 at 11:48 pm #1204544117

Considering how meh most of the nominees are this year, with the exception of Dune which will never win BP. King Richard could win simply because it’s a crowd-pleasing well done film. I think it’s starting to slowly gain momentum. STILL. A lot still needs to happen. We need to wait for some films to come out, atm I don’t see TPOD or Belfast winning. So, Nightmare Alley and that Pizza movie are the ones still out there.October 28, 2021 at 10:51 am #1204545256October 28, 2021 at 10:59 am #1204545283This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.November 2, 2021 at 10:28 am #1204553192

“There are so many ways to tell this story. But I think telling it through my dad was the best way because he had the idea. He knew how to do it.”
