    Right? Kristen stomps on Natalie.

Lmao. Took a while to decide whether or not I should respond to this nonsense.

Kristen Stewart is a good actress when given a good screenplay and director to work with. However, she looks absolutely NOTHING like Princess Diana. Given that Pablo Larrain directed Natalie Portman to an Oscar nomination in Jackie, there is hope based on that, but still, at least Natalie Portman looked somewhat convincingly like Jacqueline Kennedy to play the part. I’m going to be very, very skeptical until not only we see the first official picture of Stewart in costume and makeup, but also the first trailers. And given the nature of this film, I’m sure it will probably be screened at Venice, Telluride, Toronto, etc., so reception from there will also be key to my anticipation, or lack thereof.

This is exciting! Stewart is a great choice; I’ve never understood the need for an actor to resemble the person they’re portraying.

Yes to Pablo! I loved theJackie and it should have been nominated for more Oscars. Stewart is a very interesting choice though.

Dakota Fanning, Margot Robbie Lily James and even Emilia Clarke were right there.

Kristen is talented in her own right or to the extent she can be, but lacks the charisma and all four of the mentioned actresses beat her on both fronts especially James and Clarke who is one of the most charismatic people ever.

If Kristen couldn’t play Jean Seberg, then she certainly won’t be convincing as one of the most famous women of all time.

Beyond stupid take pleeeaassee. If anything the fact that she was able to deliver such a fierce and acclaimed performance despite having to work with such terrible writing is a testament to how good of an actress she is. Also…

Dakota Fanning, Margot Robbie Lily James and even Emilia Clarke were right there.

    PLEASE

Such strong reactions. I think Stewart is an interesting choice. I don’t necessarily see it myself but she can turn in very good performances and there’s obviously wider talent behind it. The question is whether the film at all is necessary imo, and the answer I return to is no.
