Much like I did for the television, I will be running a similar online awards for Film.

    Here are the rules!:

PM me the people you’d like to see nominated. Six for Best Picture categories, Five for every other category. Number it 1 to 6 or 1 to 5, with one being the most preffered, 2 being the next most, and so on. Be sure to include the name of the actor/writer/director and the show. Every actor/film is competing in the category they were entered in for the SAG race, and/or the genre they are competing in for the Golden Globe race.

Eligibility: Any film that opened in theaters (not film festivals, special screenings, etc.) in 2011 are eligible.

Deadline to Return Ballots: Friday, January 6, 2012

    Here are the categories:

*Need only film names, no specific people.

    *Best Picture
*Best Comedy Picture (may overlap with choices for Best Picture)
    *Best Independent Picture
    Best Director
Best Actor in a Leading Role
Best Actress in a Leading Role
Best Actor in a Supporting Role
Best Actress in a Supporting Role
    Best Original Screenplay
    Best Adapted Screenplay
Best Comedy Screenplay (may overlap with choices for Best Original/Adapted Screenplay)
    *Best Original Score
    *Best Special Effects
    *Best Film Editing
    *Best Costumes

I will send you a confirmation message once your ballot has been received and counted.
That’s all from me. Gnight. Have fun!

What if we cant name five in any particular category? And, what do you mean by SAG and Globe nominees? We cant go off the menu?

Vote as many as you want.

And I mean genre as in category placement at the Golden Globes.
Leading/Supporting Placement as in placement at SAG.

    Ok thanks.

Btw, what year do you consider “Incendies”? Because, that changes almost everything for me.

Incendies and Monsters were released in 2010 and are therefore ineligible.

Incendies was not released in the U.S. theatrically until April 22, 2011.

What are we going by? U.S. release date? Their first showing in the U.S. like, say, a film festival? Their world premiere date?

The first date that they were shown publicly to an audience is the date that I am using to determine eligibility.

So that makes a movie like Beginners released at the Toronto film festival back in 2010 ineligible? Sorry, just making sure. lol.

Tough question. I’ll define audience as “in theaters” since that’s where a movie makes its primary mark. I will put all of this information in the main post. You can include Beginners.

No Cinematography or Production Design yet Film Editing is present, even though that is a category to add to the BP winners total. Wierd. Anyway you could add them?

I’ll back up what TV12 is requesting. Not that I’m trying to pile on more work fer ‘ya or anything. Lol.
But, those categories are important for me; just speaking for myself.

Wow, I feel stupid for not including those. I’ve received too many ballots to ask each person to send rankings individually, but I will include them next year.
