Let’s play a game. I’ll start by asking: What was worse? – X never being nominated for an Oscar or Tom Cruise never winning?
If your answer is X, then say so and then make a comparison to him. For example, what’s worse:X never winning or the fact that Joan Crawford wasn’t nominated for “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?”
OK? Let’s start now. What was worse? – X never being nominated for an Oscar or Tom Cruise never winning?
(NOTE: Sorry, but I screwed up this initial post, using Harrison Ford as an example, but, as pointed out below, he WAS nominated for Witness. Substitute for another example.)
ReplyDecember 26, 2016 at 9:40 pm #1201975261Ford is a 1985 Best Actor nominee for Witness.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 26, 2016 at 10:31 pm #1201975277I’ll go off the assumption that you mean neither winning, and to that I will respond Tom Cruise never winning. Now I will ask which is worse, Tom Cruise never winning or Ralph Fiennes never winning?

December 26, 2016 at 11:26 pm #1201975299That’s not how..
Okay, I will say Tom Cruise never winning and ask which is worse, Tom Cruise never winning or Naomi Watts not even being nominated for Mulholland Drive?

Which is worse, Amy not winning or Sissy Spacek didn’t win for In the Bedroom?

December 27, 2016 at 5:36 am #1201975390I’m fine with both but I gotta say Amy Adams never winning is worse as she would be very deserving for “The Fighter”, at least, and Spacek had many better performances than “In the Bedroom”.
Worst Oscar snub: Amy Adams not winning or Thelma Ritter not winning an Oscar despite multiple Oscar nods (between them all but 1 in Supporting Actress)?
Explaining why someone picked A over B would make it more interesting.
ReplyCopy URLDecember 27, 2016 at 5:50 am #1201975396Tom Cruise not winning for Jerry Maguire but Cuba Gooding Jr. Winning for “show me the moneyyyyy” pretty much sums up why a lot of people think the oscars are a joke lol. He should’ve won best supporting for Magnolia as well

ReplyCopy URLDecember 27, 2016 at 7:02 am #1201975411Glenn Close—but I wasn’t given a choice. So I’ll go with Thelma Ritter not winning was worse.
Question: Which is worse, Kirsten Dunst not being nominated for Melancholia in 2012 or Glenn Close not winning for Albert Nobbs over Meryl Streep in 2012?

I’m not sure I understood the rules perfectly but I’ll go along. Dunst not getting nominated or The Dark Knight not making into Best Picture?
