Once again I’m curious about the animated race.

Will they go the route of NYFCC and National Board of Review and give it to Marcel the Shell With Shoes On?

Or will they go for Turning Red or Del Toro’s Pinocchio?

Heck, they might even go for a movie that’s not one of those three. They’re known for being spicy like that.

But if I really had to bet I’d go with Turning Red.

Edit: They actually don’t go for Pixar that often, but still

They generally lean the most international, so I’m curious if they’ll go with a frontrunner that “feels” international like EEAAO, or if they’ll go for one of the less oscar-buzzed fully foreign language films.

Me hoping they do something totally unexpected/chaotic and give it to Ji-Min Park from Return to Seoul. She’s rumored to have been the runner-up at NYFCC.
