This time in another round of love or loath we have Ms Anne Hathaway for her brilliance in Les Miserables. Personally speaking she was absolutely deserving of her oscar (even though her speeches didnt seem genuine) and I love her win. She was my personal winner that year as well but for what I view as a superior performance. I awarded her that her for her boldness as Selina Kyle in Yhe Dark Knight Rises. Do you love or loath her win, let me know.January 3, 2021 at 7:36 am #1203959418
Absolutely loved her performance and she was extremely deserving of the Oscar.January 3, 2021 at 8:11 am #1203959477
Liked.January 3, 2021 at 8:24 am #1203959497
Even though she did have an unfair advantage with them moving I DREAMED A DREAM to a more depressing and bleak moment in her short arc, I thought she did very well to stand out in a part that comes and goes before you really know it.

Not only did I think she deserved the Oscar, but she also actually gave my favorite performance to have won Best Supporting Actress in the 2010s.January 3, 2021 at 9:38 am #1203959645
It’s a great performance. I understand the backlash as it is extremely overwrought, but the emotion feels earned to me, and while not the vocally strongest rendition, her acting more than made up for that.January 3, 2021 at 10:15 am #1203959760
She was definitely the best part of that terrible movie, but Amy Adams should have won that year.

Love the film and the performance, but Helen Hunt in The Sessions would have been my choice.January 3, 2021 at 11:59 am #1203959966
Neither loved nor loathed. Disliked the film, but she was one of the better parts of it.January 3, 2021 at 1:26 pm #1203960106
I think she did excellent for what they were going for, but I do prefer the original interpretation. There’s discordance between the music and Hathaway’s acting; which is fine since that’s what they went for. I don’t think she really used each note as much as she could’ve; the sounds of the lyrics really demonstrate the layers of pain and all, without having to put much on it. Amy Adams outacted, she should have won. Anne was good but her carreer is in a downhill since her win, so it’s sad.January 4, 2021 at 8:41 pm #1203962952

Overrated performance. She’s not bad in the movie, but her performance didn’t deserve to win the Oscar. Not now
