    LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!!!!
Emma Stone is the definition of a deserved winner that needs more appreciation. She served it with her performance. The best actress of her generation.

Viola Davis going supporting is a big mystery to me. I don’t get who she thought would beat her. It wasn’t that competitive a field.

I guess she got burned once going lead for The Help and decided to play it safe with Fences.

Pity. She’d have won Best Actress.

Loath. Natalie Portman should have won and Emily Blunt should have been nominated.

    Joker Deserves Everything.

    Joaquin Phoenix is the Man

Cynthia Erivo should win best actress

I like Natalie in Jackie, but she had an Oscar already. I am glad Emma Stone got her Oscar for a good performance at her career peak rather than a belated career Oscar.

Now if Amy Adams was nominated, this would be a different conversation. Worst snub of the 2010s.

    For Your Consideration:

    Best Picture: Parasite
Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe - The Lighthouse
Best Animated Feature: Weathering With You, Promare
    Best International Film: Parasite

It had no place winning over 4 superior performances among the ones nominated. Not to mention the several others that were snubbed. It should’ve been a cute little filler nomination and she should’ve won for The Favourite.

For me, when I saw the movie I quite enjoyed her in it for the most part but I wasn’t really following the trajectory that race was taking. I must have missed the boat somehow because I was still thinking that Natalie Portman or Isabelle Huppert could pull it off then Stone won the SAG and I suddenly found the performance to be overrated.

I do think she was better in the film than Gosling so of the two, I’m glad she was able to get the award…but I voted LOATHE even if I did loathe her performance. As a win? Yes, don’t care for the win that much.

Overall, I was let down with La La Land. I saw it after it won a number of awards, but before the Oscars. I did think that Emma Stone gave a better performance in The Favourite than La La Land.

I also think that Viola Davis felt burned after going Lead Actress for The Help and wanted to go Supporting Actress for Fences. This role on Broadway initially won the Tony in Featured Actress for Mary Alice and won the Tony in Lead Actress for Viola Davis.

I neither loved nor loathed her.
That was the year that almost nothing Oscar went with aligned with my own preferences.
I suppose Stone sang a tad better than FFJ.

I didnt loathe it and didnt love it. It was decent. But in no way was Stone more deserving than Portman or Huppert. Huppert particularly deserved it.

She got scared of Portman and even more when she won the CC. Then Emma Stone ruined everytying.

I look at better actresses that lost the Oscar for stronger performances and it is frustrating that Emma won the Oscar for this role.

Loathe. I agree that Davis should’ve went lead for Fences and won. Leaving Williams and Harris to battle for Supporting Actress.

She was great but Huppert was better, but I didn’t care much after Amy Adams was snubbed.
