In my opinion, it’s one of the most overlooked films of the 2000s. Should have gotten easy nominations for Picture, Director, Actor (x2), Editing, Cinematography, Costume Design, Production Design, Score, and Sound Mixing. I’d only have it winning Cinematography because of how competitive that year was, but it’s easy one of my favorites of all time. I regularly pray that they’ll release the extended cut one day.

This film is 160 min long and no frame feels unnecessary. It is close to perfect and highly underrated.
