Not familiar with the original play, but I’m interested.

What I’m curious about is that it says the original was a one woman show, so I’m wondering how exactly it’ll be adapted to work onscreen, as I doubt it’ll be the same as what was onstage.

Still, if it was originally written just for Smith to perform, then I’m sure this will be a great showcase for her.

I saw this onstage and it was the greatest live performance I’ve ever seen.

She probably would have gotten another Tony nomination for this so I’m happy they are still doing something with it. I can totally see Maggie getting an Oscar nomination, this is the type of thing they would love.

Excited for this! She also has a movie with Laura Linney and Kathy Bates that will begin shooting soon. And I heard rumors about Downton Abbey 2 shooting soon.

Maggie easily could’ve already had 7-8 Oscar nominations if she would have campaigned for “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” and “The Lady in the Van”. She got so close for both of those movies without even campaigning.

I hope she will be able to join the 7-nomination club by the time she stops working. Unfortunately, time is going so quickly and I’m not sure if Maggie will have that many more film projects, so hopefully this is the one.
