I had Into the Woods winning Makeup, but it failed to make the shortlist. So, now who is the favorite? Foxcatcher?December 15, 2014 at 3:14 pm #169312
I have Maleficent winning mainly because I believe it’s Rick Baker who worked on it and the academy loves Rick Baker.
I could be wrong, remember this category is the category that you should never expect the expected.December 15, 2014 at 3:21 pm #169313
Yeah, I’m surprised Into The Woods didn’t make it here. Not just the makeup…the hair was fantastic.
But after Cloud Atlas was snubbed for the shortlist, I realize this list is always a crapshoot.December 15, 2014 at 3:24 pm #169314
Amazing Spider-Man man 2 made it but Into The Woods didn’t? Weird.December 15, 2014 at 3:28 pm #169315
Previously had Into the Woods, Foxcatcher, and GOTG, but with Into the Woods out I put Budapest in the the 3rd spot.December 15, 2014 at 3:45 pm #169316
I also had Into the Woods, so now I’m thinking Theory of Everything, and Guardians of the Galaxy may be joined by Grand Budapest. Foxcatcher could be in too, but I think it will be between those four. I still can’t fathom why there aren’t 5 nominees here.December 15, 2014 at 3:45 pm #169317
Noah and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 made it but Into the Woods didn’t…
I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.
FYC: Ready Player One. Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Visual Effects, Original Score, Production Design, Director and BEST PICTURE (make it happen Oscars!!)December 15, 2014 at 4:01 pm #169318
I had Budapest (Tilda!), Theory of Everything (disease!) and Into the Woods (fairy tales!). Guess I’ll move Guardians of the Galaxy into that last spot, but it could be Maleficent (another fairy tale!).December 15, 2014 at 10:27 pm #169319
I think Foxcatcher will get it or Grand BudapestDecember 16, 2014 at 12:15 am #169320
What Will Win: Foxcatcher
What Should Win: Guardians of the Galaxy
I still say this category needs to have five nominees like all the others!December 16, 2014 at 1:07 am #169321
Haven’t seen the film but Foxcatcher for what? That ugly ass nose?
And I still can’t comprehend how Dallas Buyers Club won this last year for the drag ghetto makeup they put on Leto. The worst winner of the category by far.December 18, 2014 at 3:24 pm #169323
Who decides these things? I thought for sure Into The Woods would win this category. Now I have no confidence in what the three nominees will be… Foxcatcher, The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Theory Of Everything? Or Guardians Of The Galaxy? Wish there were five nominees, it would be much easier to predict!
