I was wondering if this is an animated movie. If so, should it be considered for a Best Animated Feature nomination along with a Best Picture nom.

Yeah I’d like to know if it counts as animated too.

Family or kid friendly movies have a hard time getting nominated for best picture though, even if they might deserve it. Just look at Inside Out. Inside Out was definitely animated, which was another strike against it.

If it qualifies for Animated Feature, it will likely be the designated indie one they nominate each year at the Oscars, just like FLEE this year.
