So interesting. I truly feel her performance in Sophie’s Choice is the closest anyone has come to naturally existing–that I’ve seen–on film. Honorable mentions to Rowlands and DDL in that regard.

Yeah I agree I thought she was at her best in Sophie’s Choice but I didn’t like the film as much, Other than her performance the film is pretty lacklustre for me.

Yeah, I agree. It’s not a film I think to watch again for the obvious, depressing reasons, but I’m also not sure how I feel about the way in which they she turns to promiscuity as a means of coping and all. There are some narratives in the film that I don’t think are the best to perpetuate hahaha

The two you’re missing are some of her worst anyway hahaha, I would’ve probably put One True Thing lower but I watched The Post and Florence Foster Jenkins recently and were more fresh in my memory.
