I was impressed by what I saw in West Side Story. It’s the only thing I’ve seen with him in it. But I’d like to see more.

Why aren’t you in the upcoming “Dear Evan Hansen” movie alongside your former co-star Ben Platt?

I feel like I couldn’t do it. I started that when I was, like, 21, and was with it for five or six years. When you’re doing eight shows a week, it very much turns into relying on your technique and the job of it. And the show was such a zeitgeisty thing. It really took a lot out of me, and I didn’t really have it in me anymore.”

 

TRANSLATION: I could smell the failure on that one.

He’s already got a massive fandom on the internet and has already been cast in multiple projects including as Zendaya’s husband in a new Luca Guadagnino movie. So yes, I think he’s gonna be a big thing.

That’s your opinion and that’s fine. It’s okay for someone to think that his performance was done very well, and sparked an interest in their work.

He is a great actor but I don’t sure he has A List traditional great looking looks like Timothee Chalamet, Harry Styles, Robert Pattinson, Henry Cavill, Chris Hemsworth, etc….

I wasn’t talking about looks. I was talking about talent. Besides I’m not a huge fan of the Hollywood “hot guys” generally speaking. I’m more about who they are and what they do. I think that Mike did a very good good. I like his Riff better than Russ Tamblyn’s Riff. To me that says a lot.
