I don’t know if there was already a thread for this, but Motherless Brooklyn trailer dropped today:

Not sure how well it can do, but Norton looks possibly baity.

No doubt Edward Norton will be an Oscar nominee after seeing the trailer. Oscar voters love this kind of performances.

I feel this might be too baity, even for the academy. He looks like a caricature.

Egad. This sounded great on paper but that trailer was lacklustre. That said, it is nice to see Bruce Willis in something significantly more serious than his usual fare.

Really? I think this looks promising.

I think it looks bad, despite the impressive cast. Norton might have gotten a nod for a role like this 20 years ago.

Norton writing and directing himself as a disabled man in a period piece? The thirst.

Period piece, prestige novel, writer/director/actor (producer too, I’d venture), and Tourette’s? Norton’s going old-school Oscar bait, and I liveeee lmao! The trailer was all over the place and gave away too much, but I’m interested nevertheless.

Norton is soooo thirsty. It’s getting sad. For once, Beat Actor is too crowded for this.

I wanted to like this trailer because I love period pieces, but I feel like there was something missing. I think Edward Norton was a bit too obvious in the trailer. I can tell he was acting, and I did not fully believe him. I will wait for trailer #2 before I decide to watch.

Yeah and DDL was subtle in TWBB? If the acting is good it should not matter. Im sure Norton will kill it.

Edward is such a hardworking actor that deserves appreciation.

This looks like something that would have been huge in the 90s. Based on that trailer, the acting, the cinematography, even the theme of the movie seems so outdated.

But hey, they went crazy with Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book last year, so who knows?

Um, who mentioned Daniel Day-Lewis? Who mentioned subtle? Norton, in this trailer was not believable to me. I am not saying he will do bad. I am not saying the film we be bad. As I stated before, I will wait for another trailer to determine if I will see this since I LOVE period pieces.
