What are some movies stuck in development hell that you’re looking forward to (if they ever come out)?

For me, I’d say Ranger’s Apprentice (though there have been some signs of life for that), and Martin Scorsese’s Teddy Roosevelt biopic starring Leonardo DiCaprio. I guess James Ivory’s Richard II starring Tom Hiddleston, as well.

these three projects have been thrown around in early predictions for 2-3 seasons in a row now, with the way her career is going if she gets just one of them made (and do reasonably well) she’s gonna get her golden dildo for sure.

also while I’m sure she’ll do a fabulous job with the janis biopic, I’d rather jessie buckley take the role

Didn’t Scorsese also have a Mike Tyson biopic starring Jamie Foxx in the works at some point? I remember that being a thing.

Michelle Williams and Jake Gyllenhaal need Oscars so that we can say the main quartet in Brokeback Mountain are all Oscar winners.

Gyllenhaal needs another nomination. Remember when we thought he’d be nominated for Nightcrawler?

Lucille Ball with Cate Blanchett. What is going on there?

And what is going on with the Sunset Boulevard movie with Glenn Close?

Here is the latest update I was able to find on that Sunset Boulevard movie musical:

“The next Andrew Lloyd Webber show to become a movie musical will be Sunset Boulevard.

The composer told me he’ll join Glenn Close, director Rob Ashford and studio chiefs at Paramount in February to plot their next move.

He said a screenwriter will be hired to add to the first draft by Tom MacRae, who wrote the story for Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.”
