ReplyCopy URLJanuary 5, 2023 at 7:42 am #1205221480Blanchett could end up taking this, but I still think NSFC could surprise with their Actress pick. I wouldn’t be shocked if they went for Danielle Deadwyler actually. Tang Wei also seems very NSFC-friendly to me. I’m expecting her to at least be a runner up.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 5, 2023 at 7:57 am #1205221510TÁR is probably showing up in Picture, Director, Actress and Screenplay. With Blanchett probably winning.

January 5, 2023 at 9:58 am #1205221661I can see Park Ji-min winning Best Actress here, it’s the kind of thing NSFC could do it, at least as a runner-up she’s possible.
Feeling a surprise win in Best Picture too, don’t know if Tár is going to win all the way like in NYFCC and LAFCA (though, I would love to see it). Aftersun, All The Beauty and the Bloodshed, Saint Omer and EO are dark horses here for some wins too.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 5, 2023 at 10:19 am #1205221705Both Todd Field and Martin McDonagh have a terrible track record here, so I would be on the fence predicting TÁR and The Banshees of Inisherin to do well here.
ReplyCopy URLJanuary 6, 2023 at 2:57 pm #1205224360Damn tar is really going for the trifecta for actress and picture. Another possible trifecta win after drive my car last year for tar is wild. Also I have a feeling Paul mescal might win Actor over Colin or at least a runner up

It’s highly possible. Many times they have gone down a different route from NYFCC and LAFCA.
