Broke the best PTA of 2017, won 3 awards, became the youngest NYFCC lead actor of all time.

    All in the same week.

In the end, Ronan will like be a critics’ darling like with Brooklyn. I doubt she’ll win LAFCA though. She’ll stop winning when it comes to the Globes. I believe Robbie will win the Globe. She’s so their type. And Meryl in drama. And the real race will begin then. SAG will decide the outcome. And they’ll probably go with the actress in the most popular film.

Mcdormand and Hawkins trains have been collided. Oh well, guess that I will be riding to Ronan train then. Meanwhile, Robbie train has been reported to be in malfunction and Streep train is still in fix.

I agree with most of this, although judging by her NBR win and consistently positive reactions to her performance, the Streep train seems to be chugging along quite nicely, about neck and neck with the Ronan train I dare say.

Very Indie Spirits-ish. 2017 was NOT. THIS. MEDIOCRE., people.

    What exactly should have won?

Dunkirk. It’s unrealistic that Wonder Woman would get any love from the NYFCC. The plan B choice would be Get Out.

but last time Meryl won SAG, she ended up losing at the Oscars lol.

I don’t think Meryl even would’ve won SAG for Doubt if Kate Winslet had been submitted correctly for her performance in The Reader. Though it’s hard to say for sure.

Great moment for Tiff indeed. Too bad this is it. Again, Universal should be ashamed of themselves for not taking her seriously as a contender.

Tiffany got more than she deserved. It was a very generic role, to be honest.

As a famous singer said, "ain't nobody gonna Thatcher, Thatcher, Thatcher!"
