There’s no problem with someone getting two nominations in different categories if they deserve it. The problem is most of the times, they don’t.

Anya Taylor-Joy could do it next year if both Last Night in Soho and Canterbury Glass end up being contenders and she goes lead for the former.

Off the top of my head I’d probably say Cate Blanchett, Olivia Colman and Nicole Kidman are ones I think have potential. Same with Frances McDormand and Viola Davis.
