Apparently (and I did not know this until I heard it on the radio today) tongues are wagging over the alleged appearance of J-Lo’s nipple at the Oscars.  You have to admit that would be ironic given the two presenters (Lopez and Diaz) quoted Edith Head:  “Your dresses should be tight enough to show you’re a woman and loose enough to show you’re a lady.”

As someone who neither bothers much with fashion nor is attracted to women’s nipples, it seem clear to even me that when she appeared on the Red Carpet it might be slightly showing or on the verge of doing so.

I don’t know how the men are supposed to compete with J-Lo’s nipple.  Maybe next time leave their trousers unzipped with the head of their dicks peeking through?

I was very surprised that Michael Fassbender’s press agent
did not get him a presenting gig at the oscars..being on
the verge of a terrific film career, dont you think he shouldve
presented before fading from the sunset..his performances
this year in SHAME and  JANE EYRE  were outstanding..and
after the Clooney ‘package” joke at the globes, people probably
wanted to see more of him..

    He doesn’t live in LA

Were there many if any presenters other than last year’s acting winners who came from far out of town, let alone another continent?

Plus, why would he even want to after they snubbed him?

I agree it might have been a smart PR move, but it would have surprised me a lot to see him there.

I just figured he was the HOT commodity that
wanted to be seen..but i guess not..

jane fonda in the audience was  great but she belonged
up on that stage presenting as well..

There are some people who just never seem to present.
SALLY FIELD, JESSICA LANGE, CHARLIZE THERON
    Where has JACK been?
Barbra in film clip was nice..but I enjoy when she presents
especially since she actually has a starring role in 2012.

Tom Hanks is always a welcome site…but the oscars
need some New blood in presenters.

Next year, meryl actually ahs to read nominees and open an
envelope, something she has NOT done previously after her
    2 past wins…we shall see..

Most big stars would rather sit through an Adam Sandler film marathon than present at the Oscars. Anyone you mentioned almost certainly has been asked over and over to do so, and declined. Any of them, if they wanted to, could have their agents let the producers know and more often than not be part of the show.

Part of the problem is that some stars will only agree to do it if they are given a big award (picture, director, acting if one of the last year’s winners isn’t there), but otherwise refuse.

I agree..but the small potatoes stars for me, are a big mistake..
I guess i fit into the old school demographic…nothing will ever
    change…i am there..beginning to end always..no matter..
BTW i will be home in the country friday night for 10 days
    hoping to see Meryl…
I now look forward to the Tonys….hopefully all this bickering
    will just stop here…

in terms of drawing people to the movies, those who presented are vastly bigger potatoes to most of the names you mentioned – it’s not even close (Glenn or otherwise)

FLASH:  STARS DIS FOX NEWS AT OSCARS!

    As reported on Huffington Post
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/28/cameron-diaz-fox-news-george-clooney-angelina-jolie_n_1307330.html

Cameron Diaz, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie Shoot Down Fox News’ Jesse Watters At Oscars

Bill O’Reilly sent his notorious ambusher/producer Jesse Watters to the Oscars on Sunday, and Watters, rather predictably, was met with a hostile reception from some of the celebrities on the red carpet.

Angelina Jolie (an object of O’Reilly’s concern),
on being asked to opine about the state of the union, cooly shot Waters
down, saying, “that’s a longer discussion than the red carpet.”

George Clooney had a fairly cordial discussion with Watters, but snapped at him when he asked if “Obama” was doing a good job.

“Yes, he is,” he said. “He’s the president of the United States. He’s not Obama, he’s the President of the United States.”

The biggest rejection, though, happened offscreen, as Watters
recounted to O’Reilly on Monday. When he approached Cameron Diaz, she
saw his Fox News mic and said, “‘Oh no, I don’t do Fox News.'” Ouch!

Here’s an account from a journalist of what it was like to follow the ceremony from the Weinstein party.

And then, it was time for best picture.  Everyone in the party was converging on the French table (it was a long table mind you) and I had my camera ready for their reaction (see the shaky photo above).  When “The Artist” was announced the group went ca-razy and started dancing on the table.  That quickly became a bad idea when someone realized they were actually a bunch of tables pushed together and one quickly broke (whoopsie). Thankfully there were no injuries and the champagne kept popping and the party really started.

    Lol
