Love that trailer. The music is fantastic.April 17, 2013 at 7:28 am #99554
Well with this budget and this legacy it better be good. The timing for any man of “steel” is apropos. Plus it comes out on my birthday. So it better be good.April 17, 2013 at 7:57 am #99555
Looks boring, I think this franchise will dissapoint once again.April 17, 2013 at 8:40 am #99556
Superman is a fantastic character whose potential has been explored a bit very few times on movies and TV. I do not expect Snyder and Nolan (directors whose work offer a point of view directly opposed to the tone his most classic stories have) in a project that was planned in a time WB wanted everything to be dark and gritty because of the Batman films to do justice to his legacy. I’m trying to keep an open mind, and hope only the world around Superman is dark and gritty, not Superman himself, as his stories are usually about hope and much more human and much less cynical and morally ambiguous (although they still have interesting ethic conflicts) than Batman’s.
My expectations for this based on trailers and other information is so far very low, but as a fan of Superman, I really hope to be surprised and like the film.April 17, 2013 at 10:32 am #99557
This will premiere at Cannes as part of the Official Selection, out of competition. Get that festival promo, WB!April 17, 2013 at 11:03 am #99558
I hope this is good but Zack Snyder has a knack of giving us great trailers for films that wind up being shit, so I’ll remain skeptical until its release.April 17, 2013 at 11:05 am #99559

Lol! I know. Zack is a concern. Still, I find that I like the guy as a director. He certainly does take chances.
Fingers crossed for what I’m sure could become a franchise once again.April 17, 2013 at 11:51 am #99560
Looks good. Snyder may have reined in some of his flashier tendencies in (with Nolan’s input, no doubt). The cast looks great (especially looking forward to Amy Adams as Lois and Michael Shannon as Zod) and, for once, Superman finally throws a punch.April 17, 2013 at 12:59 pm #99561
I’ve loved every trailer for this film, despite the fact that I don’t like Snyder as a writer or director, and I think it’s because Snyder’s style is being reined in by the incredible team that he has been surrounded with. This new trailer has some stunning shots (the opening shot on Krypton as Russell Crowe’s Jor-El surveys the planet’s destruction is stunning), and it’s looking like the casting of this is really paying off (Costner and Crowe both look great as Clark/Kal-El’s father figures). Hans Zimmer’s score is also wonderful. I never thought I’d say it, but I am looking very forward to this one.April 17, 2013 at 6:27 pm #99562

(Expletive) love the trailer!! Michael Shannon as General Zod is gonna be EPIC!April 18, 2013 at 11:21 pm #99564
I doubt he’ll be in it that much, but man, I have been loving what Kevin Costner has brought to the trailers so far.May 11, 2013 at 2:28 pm #99565
I was someone who felt that ‘Superman Returns’ was decent, but nothing terrible, so I find it pretty funny that the film is looked at as if it was one of the worst of all-time. Do people not remember the reviews this one got? It sits at a 72 on Metacritic, 4 of which are perfect scores of 100. Hollywood Report gave it an 80/100, and Variety gave it a 90/100. On the flip side, the user score sits at a 55.
Did anyone here actually enjoy ‘Superman Returns’? I gave it a 7/10 at the time of it’s release.
