It’s confirmed,Leo is main lead of OUTIH and that he’ll campaign as solo with Brad as supporting.I think this settles the debate.

Supporting is gonna be quite competitive. Dafoe vs Pacino vs Pitt!

I just saw this and god I wished Margot was given more to do because she was STUNNING. Dynamite on screen. Her scenes were all perfection, even the first ones in which she was just dancing at a party. Pitt and DiCaprio worked so well together. Qualley and Fanning’s performances are also worth mentioning because they were excellent. But apart from the performances, I can’t say I LOVED it. The pacing was a bit off, the screenplay was just good and it was WAY too long. They could have made this a 2h movie with no problem.  B+

I currently have this getting 9 nominations (Picture, Director, O.Screenplay, Actor, Supp.Actor, Supp.Actress, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design)

I purposely read very little on the film prior to seeing it today. Not at all what I expected, but I adored the film. A buddy comedy at heart!

Pacino and Robbie aren’t happening, though. Pitt and Leo all the way.

I loved this Leo, Brad and Margot were all great my only issue was the pacing and there didn’t need to be so many driving sequences.

Surprise, surprise, it’s FairWeatherAffair having the opposing opinions!

This film has three leads, and no amount of campaigning or forum fighting will convince me otherwise; you know who they are. Pitt is best in show by a country mile.

I actually quite enjoying the slow pacing and editing of it, and the film largely held together until the final set piece, where Tarantino just could not let go of his centrist obsession with violence. It would be almost parodic if he didn’t use the victims that he does.

I thought the central idea here was really beautiful, though not exactly executed very well. Appreciate the triples mirroring of the central characters: only in cinema can what’s lost be reclaimed; reality has never been so forgiving.

I agree with you and everyone who will see the movie will think that this movie had 2 lead, even I thought it after my first watch but the think is this movie aint well edited to give us a proper answer.Movie was written with Rick’s perspective and with Rick’s character as solo lead, that’s why Leo was first person signed for the movie.Even with this cut film revolves around Rick’s but people will now consider it a category fraud when Brad will be slotted as “supporting” and Leo as “lead” because movie certainly dont clarify this very much like Green Book.

Here are some links which will tell you that studio has slotted Leo as lead and movie was actually meant to be more about Rick.

Like I said earlier, the marketing and campaign teams can do whatever they like to convince everyone that there’s only one lead, but that doesn’t change the fact that the screenplay very clearly has three throughlines.

This is not Rick’s story, this is the story of three not-unrelated resurrections.

Movie’s current theatrical cut and editing certainly tell you that but from current theatrical cut,if I had to pick lead character,it will be Rick Dalton.

Darling, she’s the only good thing in this rubbish.

Brad Pitt and Leonardo di Caprio were way better than Margot Robbie imo

Definitely. The supporting cast was great, but nobody came close to stealing this movie from DiCaprio and Pitt. I thought Robbie did a very good job with what she was given, but Sharon Tate barely speaks, has no arc, and ultimately, isn’t as important to the plot as everyone thought she’d be. While Robbie’s obviously the third biggest part, I feel like she’s almost wasted in the role. If anyone were to be nominated for supporting actress from this film, I’d say it should be Julia Butters. I thought she was wonderfully funny and endearing. In the hands of a lesser child actress, her role could’ve come across as annoying, but she made it work perfectly.

You would campaign Robbie as lead ?

Probably, yes. After seeing the film for a second time, she struck me as less of a lead than she did originally, but she still serves her own thread in the film, so I would stick her in lead.

Best Supporting Actress I’ve seen in years, not a lead, though.  No chance whatever.

Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood” excites you, delights you, lulls and seduces you in the spirit of its once-upon-a-time title.

    What a great movie!
