Yeah I’m surprised at how harsh it is being revied. I knew the more prestige critics would not like it but I had a good time with it. Bullock is the driving force behind the enjoyment as well as Zoe Kazan. It’s not perfect but I enjoyed it for what it was

In no world is Sandra Bullock getting an Oscar nod for this film and this is coming from someone who was really pulling for her to win with Gravity… The Blind Side not so much 😷 There are much more deserving actresses in better films this year. Sorry but Oscars are not won on films that have 32% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes

Flop film. Would not be surprised if not even GG touch this. Of course BFCA will fit Bullock in Comedy ghetto.

Bullock only gets nominated when her movies make money. Blind Side made a TON of cash. She (and the movie) would have been ignored if Blind Side had tanked at the box-office. Ditto for Gravity. It would be nice to see Bullock rise to the level of some of her peers (like Streep, Blanchett, Mirren, Cotillard) who can get nominated even if their films suffer in reviews/and gross.

It’s still very possible. I mean she’s great in the movie because she is a great actress. Plus she’s been nominated for lesser work *cough* The Proposal

Regardless of the brand name, sure that it would be great one specially Sandra Bullocks stars to it. When she appears on any movie, then expects that this is a box-office hit.
