I recently found this Billboard article on Twitter about Oscar-winning actors who had charted on the Hot 100.

Since Mary J. Blige just got a nomination for Supporting Actress and Original Song I was wondering about those who were just nominated but did chart on the Hot 100.

    Winners

    Walter Brennan
    Bing Crosby
    Frank Sinatra
    George Burns
    Burl Ives
    Shirley Jones
    Patty Duke
    Richard Harris
    Julie Andrews
    Barbra Streisand
    Sally Field
    Cher
    Gwyneth Paltrow
    Jamie Foxx
    Jennifer Hudson
    Jennifer Lawrence
    Anne Hathaway
    Jared Leto

    Nominees

    Doris Day
    Peggy Lee
    Debbie Reynolds
    Diana Ross
    John Travolta
    Bette Midler
    Will Smith
    Queen Latifah
    Eddie Murphy
    Mark Wahlberg
    Ruby Dee
    Anna Kendrick
    Hailee Steinfeld
    Hugh Jackman
    Bradley Cooper
    Mary J. Blige
    Lady Gaga
    Andra Day

Also, Zeta-Jones, Winslet and Kidman have all charted in the UK Top 40, the latter two both have a gold-certified top 3 singles

For some odd reason, that’s the gayest sentence I’ve ever read…

And to that point – I never thought I’d say this, but shouldn’t Eddie Murphy be on that list?

“One Day More” made it to #110, so Hugh Jackman, Eddie Redmayne, and Russell Crowe almost made the list.

Liza Minnelli has never charted on the hot 100. The closest she ever got was “New York, New York” peaking at #104 on the bubbling under the hot 100 chart and that is her only charted single there.

My mistake, I thought her cover “Losing My Mind” charted on the Hot 100 but confused it with going Top 10 in the UK.

    Peggy Lee
    Doris Day

Judy Garland had plenty of charting albums. Her successful singles were before the time of the Hot 100.

Theodore Bikel had a very long, successful recording career but not sure if he appeared on the singles chart.

For those who just got nominated,  what about Mark Wahlberg maybe as part of his group?

I just love movies. And awards.

Danielle Deadwyler gave the performance of the year.

I remain Lady Gaga's BIGGEST FAN
