Eh I don’t know. It’s very hard for complete unknowns or newcomers to get nominated nowadays unless you have undeniable buzz or are mentioned in every awards speech like Yalitza Aparicio.

I believe Morton did get in at CC but missed out on the others.
That’s also what made Marcia Gay Harden’s win all the more impressive in 2000 since she got in at none of the televised awards.
