Jojo Rabbit lands an release date of October 18th. Looks like it’s officially time to add it to your predictions folks.

Harriet is also being released on November 1st and Amazon’s Honey Boy is coming out on November 18th.

Jo Jo Rabbit going for oscars is the craziest best thing in the world. When I first heard about it I thought it’d be like a summer comedy or something. But Oscars? Wow. Looking forward to it!

I saw Rocketman on Wednesday and shared a short review in the Rocketman thread if anyone is interested.

Just some quick thoughts on the movie’s Oscar chances: I honestly wished Rocketman would have been released last autumn instead of BR. It might have swept awards season and rightly so, without all of the drama that came with BR! It is a MUCH better film than BR, more creative, more dark and way more honest. Good performances by the cast throughout.

I think Rocketman will get in here:

    • Best Costumes
    • Best Sound Editing
    • Best Sound Mixing
    • Best Original Song

I wish it would have a chance in categories such as best picture, directing, editing and the acting categories, but given the competition and the early release date I feel it is unlikely.

We all know Leonardo Dicaprio is never winning an Oscar for such role, but he surely will get nominated. I hope they’ll fix the disrespect towards Bale this year, and give him his deserved Oscar for Vice.

Neither Leo nor Bale seems to have a role which will be able to land them a win this year.Ford vs Ferrari maybe a 2 manner.OUTIH is a comedy and I rarely see actors winning lead Oscar for comedies.Joaquin all the way

By 2019 I meant the 2018 race but anyway. Christian won’t win Best Actor anytime soon because he just won as I mentioned. 2020 is for Mr. Phoenix indeed.

The Lighthouse has received acclaim at Cannes and I don’t know if any of you have read reviews but both Dafoe’s and Pattinson performance have received gigantic response from critics.A good campaign,a Nov/Dec release date and Dafoe can win his leading Oscar but getting a commercially profitable movie status will be tough for it.

Antonio Banderas could be a legit contender now for a Best Actor nomination after winning at Cannes for Pain and Glory
