There’s no way that Zellweger is missing out on an Oscar nod. Even if Judy bombs at the box office, it might not matter because she has received so many plaudits for her performance.

Like I said before this Emma Stone vs Natalie Portman all over again. Portman got career raves for Jackie but the movies wasn’t loved and it didn’t do that well at the Box Office.

Nectar, Zellweger isn’t winning anyways. Scarlett stands a chance and has literally 0 competition as of right now.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I still think people overreacted telluride reviews and she still received very good reviews she still can be nominated</p>

If Streep wants to win the Oscar, she has to go supporting. She may stand a big chance there to get her 4th. If she’s just happy to be nominated, she may go lead. She’s getting nominated anyways.

Zellwegger is her main competition and I think Zellwegger will win. I will take Ronan seriously when I see Little Women, a story people are already tired of.

    I don’t think Zellweger is winning but… we’ll see I guess.

I believe we can all agree that this year’s Best Actress is kind of boring.

The Wife should have been Blue Sky’d into this season.

And Close still would’ve lost to Johansson.

    5. a POC

I have to agree, although I don’t see Awkwafina becoming an Oscar nominee, Harriet looks like a flop, and Clemency is too small and will be forgotten. I’m waiting for someone, POC or not, to come out of nowhere and surprise us.

I know they’re not winning but why are people sleeping on Awkwafina or Cynthia Erivo for a nomination?

    1. Scarlett Johansson- Marriage Story (Netflix)
    2. Renee Zellweger- Judy (Roadside Attractions)
    3. Charlize Theron- Bombshell (Lionsgate)
    4. Saoirse Ronan- Little Women (Sony)

    5. Awkwafina vs Cynthia Erivo vs maybe Natalie Portman or Alfre Woodard.

The first four are kinda LOCKED.

A category with Scarlett Johannson, Renee Zellweger, and Charlize Theron would feel like 2003 all over again, which was the year that Theron and Zellweger won their Oscars, and the year that Johannson was nominated for two Globes, but snubbed at the Oscars.
