No final decision has been made on Brad Pitt, so we are offering him now in both lead and supporting.

If that’s the reason Octavia Spencer isn’t offered anywhere, would you mind offering her in both as well? Her absence makes zero sense.

Chris, could you explain the category placement of Nicole Kidman in lead for The Goldfinch?

You should put the Aeronauts in Adapted Screenplay. It had a “based on” credit when Amazon tested it.

While Margot Robbie gave a good performance, it’s ridiculous that she’s ranked so high right now for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. There’s nothing wrong with her work, it’s just that she does practically nothing in the film. If anyone from that movie deserves to get in, it’s Julia Butters. Robbie definitely had more screen time, but Butters had more lines and characterization. She was honestly wonderful. I’d say Dakota Fanning and Margaret Qualley would both be more deserving than Robbie as well, although I wouldn’t vote for either one of them.

Darlings, Scarlett Johansson will have to be undeniable to get a nod. I mean, they didn’t even nominated her for Lost in Translation, when it was a clearly loved movie by voters.

I can see Scarjo winning if it’s a weak
Field and no one has a narrative like Sandra Bullock the year of the BlindSide. She’s a big a Star with Box Office track record.

This… Margo Robbie is not getting a nomination for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. She’ll get nominated for Fair and Balanced the Jay Roach film.

I agree that supporting actress is a mess right now. WHERE THE HELL are Shuzhen Zhao (The Farewell) and Octavia Spencer (Luce)? I’m surprised to see that Octavia is not a contender.

I wouldn’t count out Lupita Nyong’o (Us) for Best Actress and Will Smith (Gemini Man) for Best Actor.

Meryl Streep will get in some kind of way. I definitely would love to see Taron Edgerton get nominated for Lead Actor.

Luce is flopping at the Box Office so I doubt Octavia will be a thing.

    Winner predictions:

Actor: Adam Driver – Marriage Story

    Actress: Renee Zellweger – Judy

Supporting Actor: Brad Pitt – Once Upon a Time in Hollywood OR Willem Dafoe – The Last Thing âge Wanted (if 2019)

Supporting Actress: Laura Dern – Marriage Story OR Octavia Spencer – Luce (if well campaigned)

Renee is more likely to win the razzie than the Oscar for Judy.

It’s not flopping; it’s an indie film having a limited release at 5 theaters lol.

    I saw this :

This… Margo Robbie is not getting a nomination for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. She’ll get nominated for Fair and Balanced the Jay Roach film.

and thoroughly disagreed. Then I saw this:

Luce is flopping at the Box Office so I doubt Octavia will be a thing.

and thought you we’re just biased towards Octavia. Then I saw this:

Renee is more likely to win the razzie than the Oscar for Judy.

and realized you’re probably just drunk posting on GoldDerby.

Is Ana de Armas happening for Knives Out? How about Nia Long for The Banker or Tichina Arnold for The Last Black Man in San Francisco? Likely not, but they are still offered in the Prediction Center. Spencer is much more likely than them and yet we can’t predict her. It’s baffling.
